A Brief History Of Collierville Bible Church

Collierville Bible Church (CBC) was planted by First Evangelical Church of Memphis.  The founding pastor of CBC, Jim Fleming, was formerly an associate pastor at First Evan.  He and a core of twenty-five families were commissioned in 1989 to start a new work in the growing community of Collierville, about thirty minutes east of the mother church.

In the early years, the fledgling congregation met at odd times and various locations.  They finally parked the wagons at the current CBC campus when they occupied the first phase of the building in 2003.  The facility is located at 806 Wolf River Boulevard and provides a worship center that seats 300, plus office and education space.

In the summer of 2013, Jim Fleming retired as the pastor of CBC, and the baton was passed to Nick Brown.  Nick came to CBC with a passionate desire for Gospel-centered ministry that translates into disciple making. His hope is to be able to pass the baton to the next pastor 20 to 30 years from now.
