CBC Awana

awana

The Awana program began in 1950, and clubs are currently meeting in over 9,500 churches in the United States. Awana can also be found in 2,700 churches in more than 100 other countries around the globe. The program was designed to train up young men and women who are learning Scripture and how to apply it to their lives in a fun-filled atmosphere of friends, games, and rewards.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we are not physically meeting in Fall 2020.

Although the coronavirus situation is very fluid, it is possible that we might meet in January 2021, or that we could help your child progress through their AWANA workbooks via ZOOM, or Facetime, or some other networking solution. If you are interested in this, please let us know. The link to the registration form below is if you are interested in either option, should conditions permit.

Registration Form

Despite the challenges of this year, we are excited to see how God is going to use the AWANA ministry again this year to help your children in their growth as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. As they continue to advance through their books, and earn awards we also encourage you to invite neighbors, friends, and other family members to participate in learning God’s Word. If we can meet later in the year, we are currently looking for an assistant for the Cubbies (preschool) and the Sparks (K thru 2nd grade) programs – please contact us if you are interested.

If you would like to enroll your child in the program, please complete the registration form provided on this website (PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY—we will work that out if we physically meet) and return it to the following address:

Collierville Bible Church
806 Wolf River Blvd.
Collierville, TN 38017

If we do start meeting, you may also come by any Sunday evening and have your child attend a few times before enrolling.

Our meeting schedule matches up with the Shelby County / Collierville School system’s schedule for breaks and major holidays so that families can plan accordingly. We did not include Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Day, or Presidents Day since these are only one day and fall on a Monday.

When our club physically meets, we begin at 5:30 P.M. and end at 7:20 P.M. on Sunday nights.

In general, the annual fee per child is $35 or $17.50 per semester. This fee helps to offset approximately 50% of the program’s expenses (i.e. AWANA store, awards, year-end picnic, and supplies.) We also are happy to waive fees for those who may be facing a financial hardship. These fees only apply if we actually start meeting in person. If we meet for one semester, the fee would be $17.50.
